Getting back to Art studio after 6 months' gap

Updated: Aug 5, 2019

I love what I do for living six months a year but it is very stressful and I don't quite enjoy the "Corporate" part of it. So I am very glad to say good-bye to the corporate world this week and spend the rest of the year focusing on the Art world.

Although, my project is over, my muscle memory isn't letting me enjoy the sudden freedom to use for creativity. It is going to take a lot of discipline to get used to this new life style.

Reviewing my last year's work

This week I spent setting up my studio in the new place we just moved to. I have made two separate logical areas in my studio "Oil and Multi-media". and "Abstract and Multi-Media".

As I opened moving boxes, I started looking at all the experimental art work I created over the last few years; and I started separating them in to two categories "Not again" and "Worth exploring again".

In 2018 I added, abstract multi-media into my oil portfolio thanks to . Among all the experiments, I have started focusing 2019 on

- Abstract figuration as my new friend @grahamjonesartist from New Zealand calls it.

- Abstract on aluminum surfaces.

I have yet to figure out how to mix extraction printmaking techniques with my abstract work.
